The Biosphere Gold label is awarded after verifying that, in addition to implementing sustainable practices at a territorial level, there is a strong corporate commitment to be more sustainable.

Sitges is committed to sustainable management, seeking a balance between economic, environmental, social, territorial and cultural aspects. The objective is shared with the private sector and a recent study has counted more than 1000 sustainable initiatives carried out by tourist accommodation and communicated through online channels.

From an experiential point of view, the agenda is full of activities related to the environment that highlight the legacy and history of the municipality. In this sense, the Can Milà Visitor Centre boasts a garden conceived as a biodiversity space where the native flora and fauna of the Garraf has been recovered and where an educational project has been set up with local schools.
